Daniel Louis Vezza is an American stand up comic who has performed throughout Germany, New York, and the UK. The Edinburgh Fringe Review has described his comedy as well crafted, well written, and laid back. His comedic style touches on deep and uncomfortable thoughts about sex, technology and murder. Daniel is the host of Monday Night Mics, a free weekly comedy show, as well as co-host of The Campfire, a monthly storytelling show, both based in Berlin.

Chris Davis

Chris Davis

Panelist

Chris Davis is a comedian from Glasgow, Scotland and is a regular performer on the Berlin English-language comedy scene. He has also performed in the US, the UK, and… Belgium. In 2012 and 2013 Chris could be seen at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and he was recently a finalist in The Scottish Comedian of the Year Award. Broadway Baby has called Chris “A down-to-earth character who embodies everything it means to be a true Scottish comedian” And one4review has said “Davis is entertainment with a capital E!” Chris is also the co-host of Off the Cuff comedy here in Berlin.

Jon O’Reilly

Jon O’Reilly was born the youngest of 8 children in County Mayo, Ireland, where they call an accident a ‘miracle’. He studied Art & Design in Galway, worked at a pawn shop in Edinburgh, and as an illustrator and designer here in Berlin. For many years he ran the wildly popular FilmQuiz Kreuzberg with Chris Davis. In 2014, he started Crazy Bastard Sauce, which is exactly what it sounds like. Crazy Bastard Sauce won a Habanero award at the Hot Pepper Awards and can be found on the shelves of retailers worldwide.

Great Danes

Great Danes are an acoustic duo made up of Chester Travis and Tim Hook. They are not Danish. The two met in a London guitar shop. After trading turns serenading each other they decided to form their group which is now based in Berlin. The two have toured the world both separately and together. They are currently recording their first studio EP, due to be released early this year.

Luke Burrage

Luke Burrage is a juggler, musician, photographer, and podcaster. He makes his money doing one to fund a lifestyle that supports the others. And that one is juggling. Luke performs on cruise ships, festivals, and variete theaters around the world. His show has taken him to all 7 continents, including Antarctica. Luke is also the creator and voice behind the Science Fiction Book Review Podcast, which recently celebrated 250 episodes! As a musician, Luke’s musical comedy act was a part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this past August where he enjoyed a successful 22 day run.

Paul Hawkins

Paul Hawkins is a freelance comedy writer from England with a head full of questionable ideas, curiosity in his bones, and a background in film. He is mostly poor, and will probably remain so forever because the Internet killed books. He has written magazine features, articles, graffiti, script reports, short films, online games, website copy, and posters, and once broke an industry record for falling asleep on a film set in the role of a Script Supervisor. Paul is the author of The Hipster Guide and co-author of Denglisch for Better Knowers and the upcoming How to be An Adult.

Katy Gunn

Katy Gunn

Born and raised in southern Arizona near the Mexican border, Katy Gunn was inspired at an early age by the mysterious desert landscape, her parents LPs of Shostakovich and Bach, and by British pop on American radio. From the age of two, she routinely stole her brother’s violin and practiced secretly in the old broom closet. Dropping out of high school, Katy left to study classical violin, and performed around the world as a soloist and concert master until deciding to move on and pursue her own musical language. Katy is now based in Berlin and Brooklyn, her latest project, Teenage Love, with Danish Songwriter Anna Lidell is set to release an EP in early 2015.

Dan Stern is an American comedian, host and MC. A native of Massachusetts, Dan moved to Berlin, Germany so that his wife could pursue her scientific career. When not occupied by the housework, Dan can be found doing comedy, coaching basketball, ukulele strumming, failing to learn German and occasionally responding to odd Craigslist requests. Dan is the creator and host of Night Show Berlin, co-host of Radio Spaetkauf, and MC of Mobile Kino’s Monday night screenings.

Zach Anner

Zach Anner

Zach Anner is an American comedian who splits his time between Austin, TX and Buffalo, NY. He was the host of the travel show Rollin with Zach on the Oprah Winfrey Network, the reddit-powered roadtrip Riding Shotgun on YouTube, and was the self-proclaimed “religious idiot” at the helm of SoulPancake’s series Have a Little Faith. His forthcoming memoir If At Birth You Don’t Succeed hits bookstores in March of 2016. He’s had cerebral palsy since birth, but is hoping trade it in for something sportier.

Blake Worrell

Blake Worrell

Blake Worrell is a native of Los Angeles, now living in Berlin and performing throughout Europe. With his cinematic influences, cartoon-like changing voices and a dramatic Hip-Hop style, he has been dubbed “The Frank Zappa of HipHop”. He has performed with MF DOOM, Busdriver, Cypress Hill and many others, and is a member of The PuppetMastaz.

Georg Kammerer

Georg Kammerer

Georg Kammerer is a Berlin-based comedian, filmmaker, writer and performing artist. Frustrated with the state of German comedy he found a new home in Berlin’s English comedy underground, where he has been performing, hosting and headlining shows for the past four years. Georg’s comedy can be best described as a peculiar mix of brutally honest storytelling, angry social commentary and general silliness. He is a graduate of the German Film and Television Academy Berlin and is currently presenting his one hour solo show „Unjustified Confidence”.

Max Schreier

Max Schreier was born in 1985 in New York City. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he studied music & philosophy. After living and working in New York City for several years, he moved to Berlin where he is now an independent curator and works for the website Artsy.

James & Black

James & Black

Panelist

James & Black create a hybrid of US Southern Soul and classic hip-hop, merging flavors of New Orleans and Texas with a heavy dose of Jay Dee/RZA/Tribe Called Quest tinged hip-hop. The result has been dubbed Guerrilla Soul, referring to the “anyplace/anytime” attitude they have towards music. Their first studio album,”How Long Is Now”, is set to be released this spring!

Jonas Ben Telson

Dr. Jonas Ben Telson is our brother. Like us, Ben was born in Germany but grew up in Woodstock, New York. After 4 years of art school at Hampshire College in Massachusetts, Jonas packed his bags and spent the next 7 years studying medicine at the Latin American School of Medicine in Havana, Cuba. He is now a resident doctor at the Institute for Family Health in New York.

Andrew Reid

Andrew Reid is an improv comedian from the city of Guelph, Canada. In Berlin he can be seen performing improv with the groups Good Luck, Barbara! and ComedySportz. He has brown hair, enjoys the idea of salads, and tries to be polite.

Teresa Bergman

Teresa Bergman

Panelist

Teresa Bergman is not your average girly with a guitar. Drawing inspiration from the world of blues, improvisation, swing, cabaret and good quality pop, her songs incorporate a bit of everything. A native of New Zealand, her latest album “Birds of a Feather” highlights her eclectic fusion of acoustic-folk, funk and jazz.
